El general Lucio Blanco, el Mosquetero de la Revolución hizo en Matamoros, Tamaulipas, el primer reparto de tierras de la Revolución Mexicana. Distribuyó entre los campesinos una hacienda perteneciente a Félix Díaz. En ese histórico acto estuvieron presentes Heriberto Jara, Francisco J. Mújica y otros revolucionarios que años más tarde ocuparon puestos de relieve en los gobiernos revolucionarios.
