Since its establishment, the Academia de Artes One of Mexico's missions is the creation, conservation and dissemination of the country's artistic and cultural heritage. For this reason, since 1968 it has guarded an important collection that has been made up of acquisitions, donations and commissions of artistic works. Likewise, and in adherence to the mission entrusted in its creation decree, the Academy promotes the study and dissemination of multiple artistic dimensions.

This module houses a selection of works that belong to the collection of the Academia de Artes, in order to disclose them through a digital registry. In this space it is possible to explore and investigate various artistic processes through expressions of artists from multiple countries. In addition, it registers the permanent interaction of artistic languages ​​and allows to embody a place of permanent knowledge that has as one of its main objectives to establish a dialogue between practices and knowledge of creators from different contexts, with the intention of publicizing the vast artistic heritage that each of the authors represents.

Through each of the works exhibited in this section it is possible to access multiple aspects of artistic creation and, at the same time, establish possible links with other manifestations. Likewise, in this space it is possible to approach a large selection of works that are part of the heritage of the Academia de Artes, with the intention of configuring a space for the investigation of artistic expressions of the XNUMXth century.

Library

The Xavier Moissén Library of the Academia de Artes it constitutes a space that houses important bibliographic funds owned by this collegiate body. Its bibliographic collection is made up of around 2500 volumes, among which important publications on universal, Mexican and Latin American art stand out.
